My family has greatly influenced my career – they have all been supportive and encouraging throughout my life.

What is your favorite sports team & why?

Growing up with a family that LOVES soccer, I would have to say that I enjoy all soccer teams…Colombia, USA, Dynamos, Brazil, etc.

Name your biggest frustration

I would call myself a perfectionist, so I would have to say that my biggest frustration is when I can't achieve the goals that I set for myself.

Tell us about your pets

I have three dogs that are very special to me. As a child, I did not have any pets so it has been a great experience to me. They are all miniature Yorkies and very adorable – they're great company and I enjoy spending my free time with them.

Describe your childhood & include where you grew up.

I grew up here in Houston and have two older siblings and wonderful parents. We always did everything together and are very united. My friends would come to our house, but I don't recall ever spending the night away. Most of our summers were spent in South America, where I learned the value of everything I have been blessed with – I am very grateful for everything I have.

What is your all-time favorite TV program (on air or not)?

When I was younger, I loved watching Three's Company, I Love Lucy and I Dream of Jeannie.

When you're not working, what do you do for fun?

I enjoy reading all different types of books and I enjoy learning new languages, so I often listen to educational CDs – most of my free time is spent studying.
