Who had the biggest influence on your career & why?

It's not actually a person, but a company…my first job out of school. The entire organization had a mindset of process and tracking. This consistency allowed the organization to grow substantially without the ill effects usually associated with fast growth. By constantly testing internal processes and external programs for our clients, we developed great monitoring applications to leverage with all clients. This process and testing methodology has been instrumental throughout my career.

Share a great client story.

Working with a large financial institution, we were going through their previous targeting methods for campaigns. In the discussion, we uncovered that customer's transactional data was not being utilized for targeting. In the middle of the meeting, we turned it into a brainstorming session for a new product. They agreed to beta the product and we more than doubled our business with the client.

What attracted you to DMN3?

It was an easy choice because the desire and willingness to become an even greater organization is pervasive and that's a challenge I like!

In your opinion, what makes a great brand?

A great brand is one that is not only admired, but trusted. With trust, people begin to promote your brand for you…the ultimate loyalty.

What driving career goals are you still pursuing?

A career is not a series of goal achievements to me, but more a continuous journey of education, creativity and satisfaction. Once those are met, you can look back on the achievements that were the by-product.

What food helps you think creatively?

Chocolate covered raisins…don't laugh until you try it!

What is your favorite sports team & why?

Atlanta Braves baseball…growing up in rural Mississippi, you didn't have many options. Ted Turner and WTBS (formerly WTCG) brought a whole world of live sports through that magic box.

Name your biggest frustration.

People's unwillingness to change or adapt frustrates me. It also provides a challenge. For most, it is understanding – or lack of – that causes the problem. FDR said it best, “There is nothing to fear …”

When you're not working, what do you do for fun?

What…people don't work 24/7? On those rare occasions, I enjoy golfing, mountain biking, reading and spending time with my family.
