What are you most proud of – your finest hour?

I identified a cost hemorrhage and resolved it by implementing an electronic print, storage and distribution system for all company properties coast to coast – including Canada – at the age of 22.

What was your most embarrassing career moment?

In this industry, every day provides new and humbling experiences. When the day comes that I've forgotten that fact…embarrassment will shortly follow.

Share a great client story.

A radio spot with a lot of time, energy and money already invested was in jeopardy of not making it on air due to last minute client edits and additional production work. We perfected the spot with only a few precious minutes to spare and then learned the station's digital upload/download system was down. Fearing a delivery service wouldn't make the deadline, I hand delivered the spot and, after getting caught in traffic, arrived just after the weekend radio logs had been finalized. Success or failure was dependent on my professional skill and persuasiveness. The spot ran as scheduled, generated responses and the client was very happy – they never knew of the extra effort invested on their behalf.

What is your method for developing creative solutions for your clients?

I like to review the current marketing executions, and then consider an execution in the opposite direction. This, for me, is the beginning of developing that unique and creative solution for my client. Some problems just don't fit the “formula.”

In your opinion, what makes a great brand?

A brand is “great” when the consumer feels so passionately about it that they incorporate it into their life.

Name at least one talent that you wish you could master?

The “Triple Lundy.”

If you were marooned on a desert island, what would you miss most?

People…I really enjoy the everyday interaction I have with people from different walks of life.

What is your all-time favorite TV program (on air or not)?

Dukes of Hazard.

What is your least favorite TV program?

Anything “reality”…because it's not.
