Jorge Alvarado
Graphic Designer

What drove your decision to get into the marketing business?
A job posting that read: “Intern needed; must know ABCs, how to count, and be old enough to buy beer.”
What are you most proud of – your finest hour?
I've had plenty of fine hours, but I'm still working on the finest. It's the reason I show up in the morning.
Share a great client story.
They tend to keep graphic artists in the back…where it's dark…away from the public. However, if a client ever wanders into our area, they'll find we're nice people. We love our grandmothers; we brake for school buses and we're really not that weird.
What attracted you to DMN?
The pace…the atmosphere…the potential.
What is your method for developing creative solutions for your clients?
Eight hours of uninterrupted sleep, pencil, paper and a creative brief.
In your opinion, what makes a great brand?
A great brand is socially responsible.
What driving career goals are you still pursuing?
I would like to team up with a fringe presidential candidate and design his/her print campaign.
If you were marooned on a desert island, what would you miss most?
Probably safe drinking water!
What is your all-time favorite TV program (on air or not)?
CHiPs.
When you're not working, what do you do for fun?
I go outside.
