What drove your decision to get into the marketing business?

Radio advertising...I started as a receptionist at the Number 1 radio station in San Antonio, TX. After seeing all the rock stars, getting great promotional giveaways and hearing my work friends on the air, I knew marketing was the way to go!

What are you most proud of – your finest hour?

Giving my life to Jesus and graduating from a university.

What was your most embarrassing career moment?

Talking negatively about a new TV station in town, while being interviewed by a potential employer at another TV station. I learned 5 minutes later that his station had recently purchased the station I was “bashing” – which is why he wanted to interview me.

Share a great client story.

I think it's always great when a client leaves one company, joins another and takes your marketing services with them. I've had several of these, but one in particular where I wasn't even aware the client understood my contribution to his business. He called me first before contacting the agency president or account lead.

What is your method for developing creative solutions for your clients?

Create for your target audience and move them through the buying cycle, while achieving client goals.

In your opinion, what makes a great brand?

Brand experience, promised delivery and longevity.

Name at least one talent that you wish you could master.
