There’s no shortage of social media statistics floating around the web. Facebook is the largest social media network; hashtags help increase your reach; visuals enhance engagement – I’m sure these sound familiar.

For this blog post, I set out to find social media stats that really wowed me. Whether it’s a new perspective on a well-known fact or something you’ve never heard before, here are eight social media stats that will blow your mind.

  1. Facebook has over 844 million daily mobile active users. That’s more than the entire population of North America. This is especially important to keep in mind if you are running Facebook ads.
